Many website owners do not realize that many deaf and hard of hearing people get frustrated with online forms. Why would someone who can see the form and is able to fill out the fields still get frustrated with it? Especially visitors who make online orders or try to contact an organization or an individual for more information, and not necessarily those with hearing problems?

It is a very scary experience for any parent not familiar with hearing loss to find out that their child is deaf or deafened. Over 90% of deaf children are born to hearing parents. It is natural for hearing parents to want their kids to be like them and share their language. Their first thought would be to have their hearing fixed.
Many know that deaf/hoh people use spoken, written, and/or signed languages, but only a very few are aware about cued language. There’s a lot of misconception around that communication mode.
