Hope 2016 was good for you. I wanted to share some highlights of this year.
Following is a list of articles I wrote on Audio Accessibility website in 2016:
This year I gave the highest number of presentations in my 8 years of public speaking. Both public event organizers and attendees learned quite a lot from my speaking engagements as well as my consulting and training to organizers on how to make their events accessible. This also resulted in an improved user experience of more audience members, regardless of their hearing abilities.
I also had a pleasure attending a couple of conferences for deaf and hard of hearing people in the summer of 2016 in Washington, D.C. area – one hosted by Hearing Loss Association of America and another one hosted by National Cued Speech Association.
As the founder of Audio Accessibility, I provide consulting and training to organizations on how to make their aural information accessible to deaf and hard of hearing people. I’m also an author of a book, Sound Is Not Enough. I also write articles in Russian.
Does your organization want to be on Santa’s Nice List ?? in 2017?
Become more deaf-friendly by making all types of aural information (audio, podcasts, videos, webinars, live events, classes, business meetings) accessible via good quality captioning and other types of communication access services.
Good quality human-made same-language captioning is universal design benefiting more people than just those who are deaf or hard of hearing This can also increase your market and improve your bottom line. To learn more about how to do that, contact us for consulting services, training sessions, workshops, speaking engagements.
